The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation after more than 85 complaints have been filed regarding the 2017-2018 Nissan Rogue’s braking system.
The issue centers on the automatic emergency braking (“AEB”) system coming on for no reason. The manufacturer has issued a software update to address this problem, which owners can have performed for free if their car is still under warranty.
The Center for Auto Safety, however, asked that NTHSA further investigates the defect, stressing that it is not only dangerous on the road but also has forced some drivers to turn the AEB system off altogether.
If you own a Nissan Rogue and are experiencing problems which have not been fixed in a reasonable number of attempts, Lemon Law Aid can help you file a lemon claim to get your vehicle replaced or bought back.
