GM has announced they are recalling over 624,000 SUVs and trucks because of an issue with seat belts not being properly secured which can increase the risk of injuries during accidents.
The models affected by this recall include:
- 2019 – 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500
- 2020 and 2021 Silverado 2500
- 2020 and 2021 Silverado 3500
- 2021 Chevy Suburban
- 2021 Chevy Tahoe
- 2019 – 2021 GMC Sierra 1500
- 2020 GMC Sierra 2500
- 2020 GMC Sierra 3500
- 2021 GMC Yukon XL
According to the Associated Press, no related injuries have been reported so far. GM dealerships will provide a free inspection to ensure belts have been correctly installed.
