Ford Motor Company is recalling over 242,000 2022 – 2024 Ford Maverick models because a software issue affecting the Body Control Module might cause rear taillights to fail.
While no crash or injuries have been reported so far, this defect should be addressed as soon as possible as it could prevent accidents.
Ford is issuing a recall (reference number: 24S24) and will notify owners by mail to visit a Ford dealer for a software update to fix this issue, free of charge. Ford Maverick drivers can also call Ford’s customer service at 866-436-7332 or check the NHTSA website with their VIN number to find out if there are any pending recalls.
