Chevrolet lemon law

General Motors is recalling nearly 70,000 Electric 2017, 2018 and 2019 Chevrolet Bolt models because of the risk of their battery catching on fire while parked.

This is a recall you should take very seriously as there have been reports of 9 related fires and 2 injuries in the last couple of years. As of yet, there is no fix for this issue, and GM has said it will notify Bolt owners when a fix is ready.

In the meantime, the manufacturer is urging Chevy Bolt owners to avoid parking their vehicles in garages, near houses or buildings to avoid the risk if fire spreading. They are recommending not charging batteries over 90%. This is not good news as this is Chevrolet’s first electric model in the North American market. This issue isn’t new to electric vehicles as Hyundai Kona and Tesla models faced similar problems in the past.

If you own a Chevrolet Bolt vehicle and are experiencing issues that haven’t been fixed in a reasonable number of attempts while under warranty, Lemon Law Aid can help you file a lemon claim to get it replaced or repurchased. For more information and a free consultation, fill out the form below.
