General Motors Company is recalling certain GMC and Cadillac models because the windshields might not be sealed properly. The issue occurred in the assembly line as a pump failed to dispense the proper urethane sealant needed to bond the windshield to the body of a vehicle. While there have been no reports of windshields becoming detached, some drivers may notice wind and water leaking in the cabin.
The models affected by this recall include:
- 2023 GMC Acadia
- 2024 Cadillac XT5
- 2024 Cadillac XT6
GM will begin notifying owners of these vehicles on November 27th and will provide a fix free of charge at their local dealership. You can also check the NHTSA website with your VIN number to find out if there are any pending recalls.
